February post, y'all.

Hello again!
This month has been all about cheerleading and work. That's basically it. When I'm not at basketball games, I'm at our new pizza place, when I'm not there I'm at church. Basically February has been insane, but by now I've figured out that my life is just insane.

I've really enjoyed working recently. It really helps when you have awesome people to work with and an awesome atmosphere. I've never viewed work as an enjoyable experience, but I'm loving this new job. :)

I'll leave you all with a Take Away show of Bon Iver singing Skinny Love, because I've been listening to this song a lot this month.

Adios,

Long time, no blog.

I know what you're thinking...
Did Marielle fall off the face of the planet and leave her blog?

The answer is no. I'm just a terrible blogger. I kept forgetting, and once you're to the point of no return, there is no going back. So, this is what I'm going to do. Instead of blogging EVERY Saturday, I'm going to blog on the last Saturday of every month to update what is going on.

Does that sound cool?
Cool!

So, I started 2012 off with a new Android (which I love...thank you Santa.) It's kept me up with social networking way more than I probably should be, which is the reason I think this blogging thing will work out.

In December, I did an anniversary shoot for my lovely friends, Tiffany and Daniel. I finally finishes editing, so here's one:

They're lovely people.

Also, in January, my father bought a pizza place. He and my uncle now co-own the Brick on 66. I will now be spending my Saturday nights whipping up some delish pizzas. I feel like I should have a mustache and some overalls, as well.

Other than that, I have been spending a lot of my time as a cheerleader. I know, I know...a cheerleader...I'm shocked too. I absolutely love being a cheerleader, though. Most of the time the girls and I are just goofy, but that's the best part. I've had a lot of fun being a basketball cheerleader, and it still isn't over. We have playoffs coming up and I cannot wait. I think I may be more excited than the basketball players. Just kiddin'. :)

Thursday and today I did photo shoots for my friend Micah and her new precious baby. I hope to have baby Wylder and his sweet cheeks up for you by next blog.

I concluded January (kinda) at a party for my cousin's 18th birthday. I had a ton of fun and might have party rocked a little too hard. But, I loved it. :)

I hope I can keep your attention and my attention span long enough to write a blog in February. I'll even make an event in my calender, just for you all!

Until next month,
Marielle.
:)

Hoooo-hummm.

That's how I felt this week. For some reason, I was STRESSED OUT this week. Which is weird, because I'm just a teenager. What do teenagers have to worry about? Nothing. Anyways...

My week started as any normal week would. My Monday was a typical Monday. I really didn't feel like getting up and going to school. But, I did it anyways, because I had to. Sometimes, I wonder if the devil created Mondays JUST so he could see people at their wits end. Mondays get me in the worst way. The only good thing that happens to me on Mondays is Flag Corp practice. It gives me an excuse to be a little crazy and still be myself.

Tuesday was a normal day. Tuesday at best. I didn't get to have Hot Tub Tuesdays, and that made me sad.

Wednesday...oh, Wednesday. That was an event in itself. I was kind of the leader/whatever you wanna call it, of See You At The Pole. I think it's so neat that we can all gather as Christians and pray in front of our school. I'm so blessed to live in this awesome country, and serve such an awesome God. Not only was it SYATP day, it was the first Youth service at our new church. It's so awesome to be a part of a youth group that has teenagers who have never experienced a youth service before. We had hotdogs and a brilliant time with Jesus.

Thursday was pretty awesome. The Spanish classes got to take a trip to see Flamenco Dancing and we got to go to the mall. That day was neat. Friday was awesome as well. I really had to push myself to get through Friday. We traveled 2 hours for a ball game and 2 hours back. I was exhausted.

And today is obviously Saturday, and let me tell you...I loved today. I got to spend all of Saturday with my family/cousins/pastors. We celebrated my Aunt Ginger's 40th Birthday on the back deck of my Aunt Meridith's loft. We had a slideshow and lattes and cake and a wonderful time. We watched home videos and laughed until our heads were about to fall off.

I understand that my grammar is really bad, and that I'm kind of boring. But, regardless, I'm blessed.

Toodles,
Marielle

I have a confession to make...

...I'm a terrible blogger.

Not only have I missed two weeks of blogging...I am now blogging on Sunday. (It's midnight) But! I have a (not really, but somewhat) decent excuse...

MAN. These last two weeks have been absolutely nutty. I don't know if you remember being in High School, but there are A LOT of things that go on.
I started up a job at the nearby tshirt screen printing shop, and have been working everyday after school. Granted, it's only until 5. But, by the time I get my homework done, flag practice, church meetings, and other shinanigans over with...it get's a little crazy.
Since I last posted, I have shot not one..but TWO Senior picture shoots. Both lovely ladies in my school, that both have bright futures and are both so unique. I've been busy editing those pictures and getting them done. I am about 98% finished with them...but, here are two samples...

I'm so blessed to do something I love, be with such nice people, and get paid for it. I absolutely love being able to take pictures for a hobby and for the entertainment of others.

This past Friday, we had a home game. I was so looking forward to performing our Flag Corp routine that we have been working so hard on since May. When we got to the Band Room, my flag coach informed me that we would not perform. Needless to say, I was not very happy. It took me a little while to calm down and not be so frustrated that we couldn't perform. But, I got ahold of myself, and went on. We all march out there, do the Star Spangled Banner, and finally get to a stopping position, and learn that all the officials had not yet arrived, and were not answering there phones. The crowd was getting restless, so my awesome friend Chelsey (my dancing partner in the last blog) decided we should go ahead and do our routine for the audience. We all dashed like mad women to get our Flags when we got the OK from Smith. We were all so excited and had so many nerves, we could hardly stand up straight. We performed like the lovely performers we are, and the crowd went wild. I'm so blessed to be part of such an awesome Flag Corp that works so hard. But, not only did we get to perform pre-game, the entire band did, too! It was almost 8 o'clock, and the officials still were not there. We let the other towns band go first, and then our marching band went on. After all that, the officials never showed up. They cancelled the game, and everyone left. We all thought it was awesome that everyone paid to see the band perform (teehee). Afterwards, our class sponsored a school dance. I think you all know about school dances and how awkward everyone is. Yep, that's me.

Anyways, I hope you all haven't given up on me yet! I always seem to get busy with friends on Saturday nights. I sometimes debate on moving it to Sophomore Sundays instead. But, I'll just do my best to be a better blogger. I shall soon get my act together, and try to stay faithful to my blog.

Until we meet again,
Marielle

Hola!

Well, it's Saturday.
This will be a short blog because:
1:I'm tired
and 2:my week wasn't super eventful.

Friday was our first home game and we got to march to Lady Gaga. I twirled my flag and did a little dance. Also, I got to see my big brother. Yay! Earlier today I detailed my little car Ramona. Got her clean and smellin' nice :) And I got to spend today with my lovely friends Micah and David. Micah and I went on a photo shoot and I had a blast.

I know it was short, but that's all I got. I love my life and my family and my friends and the fact that this blog is 1 paragraph long. Woo! Go me. Alright.

Better luck next time,
Marielle

What's up, buttercup?

Hello again! I'm writing to you from my cousins couch. Just figured you should know that. And I have 30 minutes to write this blog. Ok, go!

This week was...interesting. I can honestly say nothing crazy happened. On Monday, I went to flag practice and learned that I can actually sometimes dance. We're having a routine to 'Just Dance' ant it was up to my friend Chelsey to write a hip dance somewhat Lady Gaga related. What is ironic and funny is that when we were little girls we used to make up dances to Zoe Girl and N Sync. So, it was not hard for us to get back to our groove :)

Tuesday was another Hot Tub Tuesday with Abbey and Shelby, except, we didn't get in the hot tub at all. Instead, we attempted homework and talked about how lame boys were. One of our favorite past times is creeping people on Facebook. We've gotten extremely good at it. Anyways, enough of that.

Wednesday was one of the worst days I've had in awhile. It started when my car wouldn't start. My car not starting turned into being late for band. So, I shook that off and went on my way. Turns out someone stole my Toms out of my locker. Who steals a shoe?! Anywas, my day didn't look up at all after that. The pop machine ate my dollar, I didn't do well on a Spanish test, and my car died at Sonic. Man. If we didnt have such an awesome meeting that night, I probably would've just crawled into a hole.

On Thursday, we went to kick off for football season, and afterwards abbey, Shelby, and I drove around. We jammed out to Justin bieber and Brittany spears for about an hour. We all laughed until we cried. I love my friends.

Friday night, I got to babysit my little brother and my cousin. It was awesome until my brother sent an excersize ball and sent my DQ Blizzard flying down the staircase. Needless to say, it was a mess.

Now, it's Saturday. All of my sophomore friends went Out for "Sophomore Social." We ate at an awesome grill and then when to Braums. The thing about our group is that we are super indecisive. We all ended up going to Walmart to do the classic "do whatever you can do before you get kicked out" game. It was marvelous. Now, we're watching Dumb and Dumber, and I'm a happy girl.

I hope you still love me after this blog, because it was super lame.

Don't you go dyin' on me!
Marielle.

Well, hello again.

The craziest thing happened Saturday...my internet stopped working RIGHT BEFORE I hit send. So, pretend like it's Saturday as you read this...it won't happen again (hopefully)...

I'm back! You thought I wouldn't remember didn't you? Well, I have to give a special shout out to Jamie W. for reminding me of my project. So, here I am.

This was my first full week of High School, and let me tell you: it was just that. I started off monday as normal mondays go. Woke up and peeled my lame self out of bed. By the end of the day I was asking, "Is it friday, yet?" This is going to be a long year.
After school monday I went to flag corp practice. We learned a routine to "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. Shocking, I know. The next day was better than the previous, but I was still ready for the weekend. Even though it was the 4th day of school, we had oodles of homework. Abbey, Shelby, and I decided to have a homework party. So, I loaded up my icing, graham crackers, and swimsuit (for Algebra of course), and we got busy. After we were done with our homework, we took a nice dip in Abbey's not so hot tub. I like to call it "Hot Tub Tuesday." Since Shelby had surgery and now has a foot cast, she couldn't join us in the hot tub. She still entertained us with her song selections of country songs from way back in the day. Gotta love 'er.
Wednesday rolled around, and I went through a normal day of high school. After the day was over, I got the awesome opportunity to babysit my pastor's five children. I love those kids so much. I love it when the youngest called me "Merrell" or the girls tug on my shirt and say stuff like, "um..can we pleeease go outside?" I'm starting to enjoy kids a lot more. We ended the night with a good old fashion game of Hide and Go Seek. It's amazing what tiny places kids can fit into. Needless to say, it was challenging for me. After they all went down for bed, I got to finish up my homework by myself. It was really quite enjoyable to not have internet access and to do your homework in peace in quiet. (Did I just say that?) Anyways, when I finished my homework I clicked on the T.V. with 5 stations, and watched Three's Company for about an hour. Luckily, Jimmy Fallon came on. I literally fist pumped when he said that his guest was Ryan Gosling. I don't know if I mentioned this in my last blog, but my friends and I went to see Crazy Stupid Love last Saturday. Needless to say, I've had an intense love for Ryan Gosling ever since. I mean, who doesn't?

I'll stop. Anyways, now it's time to get to business.
About three weeks ago, I had a terrible tooth ache. We couldn't figure out what it was. I was convinced I had wisdom teeth coming in, but it was too terrible to be wisdom teeth. After staying up all night long, we went to the dentist. Turns out I had a cavity so deep, it was to the bone. You know what that meant? You guessed it: Root Canal. I can't say I was looking forward to it. But, after the few days of gut busting pain and a week of Lortab, I would let you pull my tooth to get rid of the pain. So, with all this being said, we went to the dentist. Every time I told someone "Oh, yeah, I have to get a root canal." They always reacted with "Oh, dear, I'm so sorry." But, I am here to tell you: it was NOT THAT BAD. Seriously, that was the most relaxing dentist trip I have EVER had. It could be the fact that I had my awesome sound canceling headphone and The Uglysuit to help me out, but I was just fine. The next day was friday, and I said, "TGIF," all day long. Not only was it friday, but it was my BEST FRIEND RACHEL's 20th BIRTHDAY. (Happy Birthday Rach) I don't know about you, but birthdays are my favorite. I rushed home from school and met her mom, step dad, and brother to go to the city. We ate an awesome Thai restaurant with all of her family, which is basically my family too. We continued the birthday with all of our favorite people at her new apartment. She did a smashing job with a "Harry Potter" themed party. We played games, laughed, ate cockroaches, and had a swell time. I can't believe my best friend is 20 this year. Time flies when you're having fun. After a long ride home, I got to snuggle into my bed and stay there until late the next morning. About 2 o'clock this afternoon we went to a wedding. I'm not going to lie to you, I LOVE WEDDINGS. There's just something about them that is so sweet. I can't wait to find that awesome man of God I know is out there and spend the rest of my life with him. After the wedding, we went to a Band meeting in the park. It's always nice to catch up with people who all share the same interests and goals as you do. I love my High School band :)
We concluded the night with a smashing trip to the carnival. My little brother wanted soooo badly to ride the Octopus. Being the nice sister that I am, I rode it with him. Needless to say, Nate won't be riding the Octopus for quite a while. I will say that there were a few tears and the lack of seatbelts made him a little uneasy.

Regardless, I'm alive, and I survived my first full week of High School.

Stay Classy,
Marielle.
